PURPOSE

To establish a mandatory retirement policy for volunteer firefighters and officers.

POLICY STATEMENT

All volunteer firefighters and officers of all ranks shall retire at the end of the year in which they turn 65.

Prior to the end of the year in which they turn 65 all affected firefighters and officers shall receive a letter confirming the mandatory retirement requirements.
