Councillor Maria Bau-Coote declared a conflict of interest with the delegation of Dr. Karen Berti, as well as report CAO-15-001

Dr. Berti's delegation was heard from 7:00 p.m. to 7:33 p.m. under the Public Community & Development Advisory Committee meeting.

-We are asking for $30,000 from the Town to consolidate our working group reports and put in a format that will be used to apply for both government and non-government grants
-To help determine the structure of a not-for-profit board as this needs to be in place to apply for grants

1.a) REPORT CAO-15-001
Re: Request from the NOTL Health Services Steering Committee
Councillor Maria Bau-Coote, previously declared a conflict of interest with Report CAO-15-001 Request from the NOTL Health Services Steering Committee as she is the General Manager of Family Health Services

Councillor Bau-Coote did not take part in any discussion or vote on this item.
Moved by Councillor Betty Disero, that the recommendation contained in Chief Administrative Officer's Report CAO-15-001 be adopted to include:
1.1 That Council approve the NOTL Health Services Steering Committee's request for financial assistance in the amount of $30,000.

1.b) REPORT CS-15-029
Re: Council Meeting Schedule for 2016
Moved by Councillor Jamie King, that the recommendation contained in Corporate Services Report CS-15-029 be adopted to include:
1.1 that the proposed schedule for meetings of Council for 2016, as outlined on the calendar attached to report CS-15-0 be approved.

1.c) REPORT CS-15-030
Re: Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department, District #1
2015 - Annual Boot Drive on behalf of Muscular Dystrophy Canada
Moved by Councillor Maria Bau-Coote, that the recommendations contained in Corporate Services Report CS-15-030 be adopted to include:
1.1 That the Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department, District #1 be granted permission to hold its annual boot drive on behalf of Muscular Dystrophy Canada, on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the intersections of Queen Street and Picton Street and Queen Street and Mississagua Street; and,
1.2 That this event be considered a non-emergency Fire Department activity as part of a Town supported event.

Moved by Councillor Betty Disero, that the recommendations contained in Corporate Services Report CS-15-031 be adopted to include that Council:
1.1 declare the "Blues on the Vineyard" event, to be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015, on private property located at Trius Winery, 1249 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, to be of "Municipal Significance" in order to obtain a special event permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario; and
1.2 declare the "Wine Country Fare" event, to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, on private property located at Trius Winery, 1249 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, to be of "Municipal Significance" in order to obtain a special event permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

2. NEW BUSINESS:
2.a) July 25th Jazz Festival - Simcoe Park
Additional Request
Moved by Lord Mayor Pat Darte that section 2.2 of the Town's Procedural By-law 4675-13, that the rules and procedures contained herein may be suspended, at such times and upon such conditions as may be deemed appropriate, by an affirmative vote of Two Thirds of Council, in order that a motion can be entertained under Corporate Services new business regarding the July 25th Jazz Festival event to be held in Simcoe Park, by allowing Artists to sell Art Work in the park.
APPROVED.
Moved by Lord Mayor Pat Darte that the organizers of the Jazz Festival to be held in Simcoe Park on July 25th be given permission to allow Artists to sell Art Work in the park during the Jazz Festival.
